Small Business Development Institute

The Small Business Development Institute (SBDI) specializes in providing workshops and seminars that are presented in short periods of time.  They offer intense,  high-content,  practical and essential information on specific subjects.  Seminars are taught by experienced former business owners,  educators or consultants who specialize in a given business area.

At the request of the Board of Directors, the SBDI was formed in the Fall of 2005 by Chamber members Carlos Gonzalez, Norman Hetch, Marty Lattman and Jorge Ribas.  Although the major focus of SBDI's activities was initially the Hispanic business community,  participation was soon opened to small,  small-disadvantaged,  woman,  hub-zone, veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran businesses.

In order to save travel time for our members as well as help reduce both the region’s dependence on oil and air pollutants,  the MAHCC will be offering online soon,  interactive seminars that will be available anytime,  anywhere,  as well as webinars or live web conferences given at predetermined hours.

For more information about our business seminars, please call 240-686-0055.
