Washington region lands 59 firms on Inc.'s list of 500 fastest-growing private firms

This year's Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America includes 59 businesses in D.C., Maryland and Virginia dominated by firms offering information technology and government services.  Forty-eight of the 59 companies are located in the Washington area.

Maryland's Greenspring Energy ranked highest among all regional companies on the list, coming in at No. 15 with revenue of $10.5 million and growing 8,730 percent during the last three years.

The rankings are based on a three-year revenue growth rate, from 2007-2010.  Topping the list was Ideeli, a New York retailer with revenue of $77.7 million, a 40,882 percent increase.

In addition to Greenspring Energy, here are the rest of the companies from D.C., Maryland and Virginia on the list:

No. 44 McLean-based Integrity Management Consulting, a federal contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 4,460 percent and $12.2 million in revenue in 2010.

No. 45 D.C.-based JMA Solutions, a government contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 4,317 percent and 2010 sales of $6.6 million.

No. 62 Reston-based AppAssure Software, a software developer, with three-year revenue growth of 3,450 percent and $6.8 million in sales for 2010.

No. 74 Baltimore-based Millennial Media, with three-year revenue growth of 3,080.2 percent and revenue last year of $47.8 million in mobile advertising.

No. 88 Easton, Md.-based WhiteOak Group, with three-year revenue growth of 2,856.3 percent and 2010 revenue of $5.8 million in communications systems.

No. 107 Vienna-based based MicroTech, with three-year revenue growth of 2,579 percent and 2010 revenue of $331.1 million in government services.

No. 109 Sterling-based Provideo Management, a government contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 2,465 percent and 2010 revenue of $5.7 million.

No. 119 Chesapeake, Va.-based Cetan Corp, an technology services company, with three-year revenue growth of 2,275 percent and 2010 revenue of $7.2 million.

No. 127 Chantilly-based Soft Tech Consulting, with three-year revenue growth of 2,138 percent and 2010 revenue of $7.5 million.

No. 138 Vienna-based The Trademark Company, with three-year revenue growth of 2,034 percent and 2010 revenue of $3.2 million in business products and services

No. 139 Arlington-based Evoke Research and Consulting, a federal contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 2,029 percent and 2010 revenue of $5.2 million.

No. 147 Rockville IT services provider MindPetal, with three-year revenue growth of 1,897.5 percent. The company posted revenue last year of $4.1 million

No. 156 Falls Church-based Polu Kai Services, with three-year revenue growth of 1,847 percent and 2010 revenue of $32.6 million in government services.

No. 162 Alexandria-based SBG Technology Solutions, a government services firm, with three-year revenue growth of 1,825 percent and 2010 revenue of $21.9 million.

No. 165 Annapolis-based software maker Zenoss, with three-year revenue growth of 1,789.5 percent and revenue of $8.4 million in 2010.

No. 177 Great Falls-based epcSolutions, with three-year revenue growth of 1,699 percent and 2010 revenue of $18.2 million in software.

No. 181 Rockville developer of solar electricity systems Standard Solar. The company had three-year revenue growth of 1,686 percent and revenue of $23 million last year.

No. 193 McLean-based LinkVisum Consulting Group, a government contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 1,566 percent and 2010 revenue of $10 million.

No. 194 Potomac-based Innotion Enterprises, a provider of technology, management and marketing services to lenders that own foreclosed properties. The company posted three-year revenue growth of 1,563.8 percent and revenue of $14.4 million last year.

No. 196 Rockville-based wind power retailer Clean Currents, with three-year revenue growth of 1,548.2 percent and revenue of $2.4 million in 2010.

No. 197 Reston-based The Rehancement Group, a government contractor, with three-year revenue growth of 1,547 percent and 2010 revenue of $5.4 million.

No. 203 McLean-based government contractor HumanTouch, with three-year revenue growth of 1,533 percent and 2010 revenue of $24.2 million.

No. 206 Herndon-based CFN Services, with three-year revenue growth of 1,518 percent and 2010 revenue of $11.1 million in telecommunications.

No. 216 Chevy Chase-based Internet marketer Spark Revenue, with three-year revenue growth of 1,442.5 percent and sales in 2010 of $7.1 million.

No. 218 Hanover-based cyber security services provider Ciphent, with three-year revenue growth of 1,442 percent and sales of $18.4 million in 2010

No. 226 Fairfax-based Three Pillar Global, with three-year revenue growth of 1,415 percent and 2010 revenue of $12.6 million in business products and services.

No. 233 D.C.-based Satory Global, with three-year revenue growth of 1,373 percent and 2010 revenue of $4.6 million in technology services.

No. 240 Reston-based Qnexis, with three-year revenue growth of 1,330 percent and 2010 revenue of $4.8 million in government services.

No. 243 Newport News, Va.-based Insignia Technology Services, with three-year revenue growth of 1,315 percent and 2010 revenue of $11.5 million in government services

No. 245 Reston-based Link Solutions, with three-year revenue growth of 1,309 percent and 2010 revenue of $4.7 million in government contracting.

No. 248 Fairfax-based QSS International, with three-year revenue growth of 1,292 percent and 2010 revenue of $3.6 million in construction.

No. 253 Annapolis Junction-based IT services and software development firm Axom Technologies. The company had three-year revenue growth of 1,258.3 percent and revenue in 2010 of $10.6 million.

No. 265 Rockville-based IT systems and software provider FedStore, with three-year revenue growth of 1,210.3 percent and revenues of $80.2 million last year.

No. 269 Daytner Construction Group in Mount Airy had three-year revenue growth of 1,194.3 percent and revenue of $17.7 million in 2010.

No. 275 D.C.-based North Star Group, with three-year revenue growth of 1,184 percent and 2010 revenue of $7.4 million.
