Where we are
From humble beginnings in the fall of 2002, the MAHCC has grown by December 2010 into a thriving regional chamber of commerce with members in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, Delaware and West Virginia.
Also, by dint of hard work and a results-oriented and customer-centric approach, the MAHCC has become one of the largest minority business organization and one of the most active chambers of commerce in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The organizational unit of the Chamber is the chapter, headed by a Vice President who is also a voting member of the Board of Directors. Each Chapter consists of dues-paying members who either work or own businesses locally. Chapters are not independent entities, but are semi-autonomous in the sense that they have their own advisory body or Leadership Councils, and may choose special initiatives designed to meet their unique local needs.
The Chamber maintains several offices throughout the region. However, in some of the Chapters vice presidents may donate office space.
Important: A visit to any chapter office requires an appointment. If you would like to meet with a particular officer or visit one of our offices, please call ahead of time to make an appointment. Walk-ins will be asked to schedule a meeting date.
As of December 30, 2010, the Chamber has 22 chapters in the following jurisdictions:
